Pilates
Joseph Pilates created a method of movement and repertoire of exercises that is so effective, so versatile that it has spread across the globe and continues to increase in popularity ever year. His goal was to create an accessible method to heal and prevent injury; build and maintain strength and flexibility. Pilates exercises can be adapted for every-body regardless of age and ability. The method focuses the mind and increases body awareness through attention to breath, alignment and technique. It is a unique method of movement, done both on the floor and on specialized equipment designed by Joe himself.
Pilates sessions are designed around a client’s specific needs and goals: targeted strength and whole body integration; mobility; balance; recovery from surgery and injury; prenatal/pregnancy/postpartum, etc.
TRX
TRX – stands for Total Body Resistance Training. A recent invention with lifetimes of possibility – TRX is a suspension training system that is lightweight, portable and extremely effective. TRX exercises challenge new students as well as pro athletes, and it blends brilliantly with Pilates repertoire. The movements build strength, flexibility, endurance and balance.

Classes in Pilates and TRX
Anneliese offers classes at fully equipped studios in New Paltz, NY and the Hudson Valley. Private instruction and small group classes are available for Mat work, on Pilates apparatus and TRX.
Annneliese also offers sessions in the comfort of your home or office. Pilates Mat work and TRX can be performed anywhere there is space to lie down, sit, stand and stretch out. Mats, Props and TRX bands are easily transported to you for private and small group classes.
